Lucy & Jess at Creative Village have provided workshops for the vulnerable children and young people we work with for a number of years now. The creativity and quality of the workshops are to such a high standard, they never leave us or our groups disappointed. Thank you for working with us again this summer. We look forward to working with you again very soon!

Tracey Hamilton, Eastern Ravens Trust Manager

I have worked with Creative Village for several years as an individual organisation and in Partnership with Eastern Ravens Trust. They have provided very high-quality activities to groups of disadvantaged young people we work with.

They have developed very positive relationships with the young people and have contributed significantly to our programme.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to Lucy and Jess from Creative Village CIC.

Over the past 4 years they have offered and delivered a wealth of creative groups to our Stepping Stones women’s group and others that have accessed our services to recover from their experiences of violence and abuse.

They offered their creative ideas and provided resources to our ME TIME Children and Young Peoples therapy service which have really helped children and young people affected by domestic abuse and trauma use creative resource to explore and understand their experiences and recovery from them.

It was amazing to see the power of creative groups and activities have had in supporting recovery – as well as making them fun and producing some amazing creative pieces that are treasured by those who have taken part in the groups.

Lucy and Jess are amazing and inspiring women who take time to listen and to create environments that offer all those that attend a space to enjoy and grow.

Thank you for taking time and giving us the opportunity to offer creative spaces to heal for the women, girls and children and young people we support.

I have worked with Creative Village several times whilst I was former Project Coordinator for Engaging Audiences at The Bowes Museum (Mar 2020 – Nov 2021).

Creative Village have delivered several workshops at The Museum for young people including a porcelain and pen workshop, a jewellery making workshop, a fashion statement workshop and a nature and clay workshop.

Every time I have worked with Creative Village, they have been an absolute dream to work with. They are professional and excellent at what they do. They also know how to engage a wide variety of audiences. They are particularly brilliant with young people as demonstrated when they worked with the Young Curators at The Bowes Museum. They supported the Young Curators to have the confidence to lead the workshops later on in the day, which was wonderful to see.

The individuals behind Creative Village - Jess and Lucy make MAGIC happen when they are working together delivering workshops. They create spaces that are inspiring, inclusive and make everyone want to get involved!

I would whole heartedly recommend Creative Village for workshop delivery because you know you can trust them to deliver an excellent experience for all!

We attended a silver jewellery making workshop led by Creative Village – Jess & Lucy in December 2020. I attended with my partner, and we were hoping to come away with some lovely handmade jewellery pieces that we could give as Christmas pressies for friends and family. The workshop was facilitated by Jess & Lucy who run Creative Village and the atmosphere was very relaxed and informal, which made everyone feel welcome and at ease. We were given a live demonstration at the start of the workshop by Lucy and then throughout the session both Jess & Lucy supported individuals 1:1. We each made a ring, a keyring and necklace. The workshop was extremely good value for money, considering the session was led by two jewellery making experts and all materials were provided and the fact we came away with several finished pieces! It was also good fun, learning some of the processes and techniques involved when working with silver. I particularly enjoyed learning how to make a ring, particularly how to shape the metal.

I would definitely recommend attending one of Creative Village’s jewellery making workshops as Jess & Lucy are both brilliant teachers and provide a really warm and inclusive experience. I would also say doing it with friends or family is really nice too, as a day out or an experience treat!
